I've been struggling, as with the last blog to come up with a name. I looked to what the content of this blog would potentially be to see if I could have any inspiration... I want to have blog posts about good food (homemade or discovered), random photography/artwork that I choose to partake in, and musings about life experiences i've had in general. It struck me then i figured,"why not violet?"
Violet is one of my favorite colors. It's a hue combination of both blue and purple. According to wikipedia, (yes, wikipedia. i'm not writing a term paper, I just wanted to wow people with some interesting facts about violet) it is the symbolic color of luxury, royalty, and harmony within the universe. Pretty out there. I wanted this color to symbolize my musings. They aren't necessarily luxurious, royal, or harmonious, but I'd like to think that by spilling out my words, thoughts, emotions, and creations onto a blog page I could potentially reach some sort of harmony within myself and my life. Having the luxury to be able to envision my creations into this form of media as well as feeling royal in my own stake at life (because I only have one life to live, and i'm the only one who has the luxury and power to live it myself). Plus, blogs tend to be great at relieving stress. Just saying.
Well, that's it. Hopefully that's not an overly pretentious endeavor on my behalf. :P
